How to get started with our Mobile App
How to get started with our mobile app
You're about to make your everyday a whole lot easier. Here's how to download our mobile app and register for the first time.
First, go to your app store and search for 'first direct'. Then click 'download'. Once the app's been downloaded you'll be asked if you want to receive notifications. It's totally up to you, but they can be very handy. Then you'll need to agree to the App terms and conditions. There you go.
Now you're ready to securely set up your security credentials. So, on the log in screen, select 'register now'. Next, you'll need to enter your first direct sort code, account number and date of birth, followed by a few characters from your telephone password.
Now it's time to pick a username. It must be at least 5 characters long, so you can't have Yoda, but you could have Elvis. That's not a recommendation by the way. Then it's time for some memorable questions and answers - just in case you forget your username at any time, so you can reset it easily.
Nearly done - simply choose a password. This time it must be at least 8 characters long. Finally, choose a couple of security questions so that if you forget your password, it's simple to reset.
And that's it - you're all ready for mobile banking. Life is about to get that little bit easier. All sorted.
