When it comes to making banking better, we never think our job is done. It can always be improved, always be quicker, and always make your life easier.
Recently we've put that theory into practice, and rolled out a few new ideas. Here's a brief catch up on everything that's now available.
Touch ID login
We know passwords aren't always easy to remember, but your fingerprint is impossible to forget. That's why we introduced Touch ID login for anyone with an iPhone 5S mobile device or above. It uses the same technology your phone does to unlock your screen, and it takes 'finances at your fingertips' to a whole new level.
Think of this like a right click with your finger. Available on iPhone 6S mobile device and beyond, different banking options will show up depending on how you touch your screen. This means you can get to anywhere you like with just a couple of taps. Clever, eh?
Apple Pay and Android Pay*
No more rustling around in your bag to find your money at the till. Now you could pay with your phone. Using the same kind of technology as contactless cards, Apple Pay and Android Pay let you tap your phone on the card reader, pay, and be back on Snapchat in seconds.
Android Pay works with most 'NFC' (Near Field Communication) capable Android devices running Android 4.4 KitKat® and higher.
Apple pay is available on iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone 6, and iPhone 6 Plus, Apple Watch, iPad Pro, iPad Air 2, iPad mini 4, and iPad mini 3.
Improved Internet Banking and mobile app navigation
It's now quicker and easier to find what you're looking for when you log on to Internet Banking or use our mobile app. We've been working in partnership with some web navigation specialists to make sure your online journey could go as smoothly as possible.
Check pending transactions and standing orders on your phone
Now you can stay one step ahead of your money by seeing any transactions that are coming up in the palm of your hand. You can also check on standing orders, making mobile banking a more complete banking experience.
Remember that time your friend bought you a coffee and you promised you'd pay them back? Well, thanks to Paym you've no longer got an excuse not to. Paym lets you transfer money to other people with Paym in your contact list, paying them back for dinner, drinks, or any other little thing that they've helped you out with.
