How do I move my banking to first direct?

We've made it easy for you to switch your banking to first direct. Just say the word and we'll take care of the rest - we'll deal with your Standing Orders and Direct Debits. It couldn't be simpler.

• when you apply to open an account we can arrange for your current banking to be transferred to your new 1st Account
• we'll arrange a transfer date for you
• we'll obtain details of your Standing Orders and Direct Debits from your previous bankers and arrange to transfer them for you.

It's easier than you think

We offer a completely interest free £250 overdraft for all new 1st Account customers, to help you manage your money. Overdrafts above £250 will be charged at 15.9% EAR variable.

When assessing your application for an overdraft we will take into account your current Standing Orders and Direct Debits, using our usual criteria. If there is a failure in the switching process we will refund any charges or interest you've paid to us, and if you are a Northern Ireland customer your old bank will refund any charges or interest you've paid to them.
